Recent Crafts for Christmas and Winter

In 2018, I have really focused more on making videos and I apologize for posting on my blog significantly less. I would love if you would follow along my Facebook page or Youtube to stay in touch with the crafts and DIY projects I am working on. I thought I would compile some pinnable images of recent seasonal crafts I have done on video, but had no time to write blog articles. These crafts for Christmas will give you plenty to decorate with or gift to loved ones!

Double Sided Wood Sign

This sign I hand-lettered on one side and tried a stencil on the other. One side reads “Naughty or Nice” for Christmas and the other I wrote “Let It Snow” to set out as winter decor. I like this craft because it is something special for the season that can stay out for months after.

Handmade Christmas Wreath

This handmade wreath I made with mostly natural elements. I painted pine cones with white acrylic craft paint and spray painted some white. I also spray painted and glittered twigs. The red berries are from a tree in the backyard of our new home!

Holiday Shelf Decor

In the dining room of our new place, I put up these large shelves for display and decor. I made a video with tips on how to style a display that looks balanced and beautiful. These tips include grounding, styling with height variance, incorporating lots of texture, and grouping odd numbers.

Birch Wrapped Candles

You might remember from past holiday seasons how much I love to decorate with real birch. The white textured bark is so characteristic of winter! I took the bark off rotted birch branches and simply wrapped it around my red pillar candles.

No-Sew Sweater Pillow Design

Along those lines, I painted a birch tree scene on a no-sew sweater pillow craft recently. I have not shared the video tutorial yet, but I love how this one turned out! Plus, now you will have something to look forward to.
